About

The Houston Indiana Fall Festival is an annual celebration at the schoolhouse held the 2nd Saturday in October from 8 am to 5 pm.  Proceeds from this event are used toward continued repair and maintenance of the school, which was built in 1910.

The building has not been used for school since 1967, but serves as a place for the fall festival and in many other ways.

  • Longstanding place for the local residents to vote
  • Social events in the community
  • Pitch-in supper held the last Saturday of the month
  • Meeting place for the Houston School Restoration Committee, which manages the fall festival
